We are excited to announce that Alteon has recently launched group support, so teammates working remotely can collaborate more quickly, easily and affordably.
Organizations can now register an umbrella Alteon account, housing their assets in our secure cloud environment. Their staff and freelancers, anywhere in the world, can easily access to Alteon’s toolset and stay up-to-date on their group’s latest drafts, without worrying about shipping hard drives or searching for the latest versions of files.
This is a necessary feature to help creative teams succeed in a remote-work world. When the pandemic struck, the global production industry hit pause, but it thankfully didn’t take long for forward-looking creatives and producers to realize the opportunity at hand. By shifting to remote work, productions could still get made, group members could work from home and work opportunities could actually be expanded beyond geographic borders.
The only problem was a lack of infrastructure.
Of course, we at Alteon did not foresee the tragedy of a global pandemic. But as far back as 2019, we did predict a shift toward remote work in the creative industry. With the rise of direct camera-to-cloud uploads and virtual collaboration tools, working on productions has never been easier. Our goal has always been to build an affordable, simple platform that empowers creatives anywhere in the world.
This means teams can work more easily off the same files, wherever they are. By downloading the free Alteon extension for Adobe Premiere Pro, editors can sync their work automatically to the cloud, with edits being applied across proxies and original files. Custom meta tags help groups find assets quickly, while Alteon keeps folder structures consistent after footage gets ingested.
