We’re releasing Alteon version 4.22 today, introducing exciting new features across our web platform and apps for iPhone, iPad, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
**Commenting gets a whole new look and feel**
We’ve completely overhauled our commenting and item view. For feedback that doesn’t need to be frame-accurate, leave a “Clip Comment” on the whole media file. To work even faster, we’ve introduced keyboard shortcuts similar to NLE workflows, so you can press the “C” button on your keyboard to activate a new shortcut. Then, when reviewing feedback, click on any comment to advance to the exact frame referenced—and edit comments if you need to make changes. All this is wrapped up in a beautiful new full-screen playback viewer with an improved design.
**What’s new with our iOS app**
The latest version of Alteon.io also improves our popular app for iPhone and iPad. In addition to UI fixes that streamline the overall Alteon experience, the upload process has been rebuilt for speed and efficiency, allowing for even more powerful collaboration.
**Drag and drop comes to our FCP extension**
The Alteon workflow extension for Final Cut Pro now follows the natural drag-and-drop functionality that’s native to the application itself, so you can upload media by dragging files straight into the window. We’ve also made a slew of other workflow and usability improvements that smooth out the entire product. If you haven’t tried it, now’s the time.
**More on the way **
We also released a new version of our workflow extension for Adobe Premiere Pro, enhancing the playback UI and updating the colors and icons. All this comes after major updates in the last two months that improved uploads, introduced real-time notifications and upgraded the Monitor to better track media upload and download progress. We’re on a constant mission to speed up and streamline creative workflows—to schedule a demo or provide feedback, don't hesitate to get in touch.
