Alteon launches groundbreaking roadmap for the future of remote productions from NAB 2022

NAB 2022

*Alteon’s vision encapsulates a truly comprehensive workflow, including real-time comments, instant NFT publishing and enhanced post-production integration.*

Simplified NFT publishing, timestamped comments on video files and enhanced integration with Adobe Premiere Pro—these are the major announcements recently made by Alteon.io, an all-in-one hub for content creators, to celebrate the first in-person NAB Show in two years.

These announcements cement Alteon as the go-to platform for production professionals, designed with future-looking Web3 technologies, leapfrogging conventional content management systems that were never designed for professional collaboration. With Alteon, creatives can quickly upload files to a secure and affordable cloud platform, save time with automatically transcoded proxy files, and collaborate easily by sharing projects and organizing custom meta tags.

In late March, the company announced Alteon Publisher, the first-of-its-kind tool that will allow creatives to securely generate NFTs in real-time with a few simple clicks. Alteon swiftly followed that up by announcing their enterprise version of Alteon Publisher, designed for VidiNet, expanding the company’s tight partnership with Arvato Systems’ Vidispine team and unlocking simplified, instant NFTs for companies of all sizes.

“I’m incredibly proud of all the hard work our team has put into Alteon this year so far,” said co-founder Matt Cimaglia. “The production industry has woken up to the future of media creation—that means remote collaboration, NFTs and housing massive files in cloud storage. No other company is tackling these issues like we are. We had a tremendous reception at this year’s NAB Show, and people are signing on quickly to our vision for the future of the industry.”

Simultaneously, the company upgraded its free extension for Adobe Premiere Pro, bulking it up with group support and integrating the platform’s new comment functionality. In a major boost to post-production workflows, Alteon users can now leave timestamped comments on video files housed in Alteon Cloud, which automatically translate into locators on assets and sequences in Premiere Pro.

“It’s all about collaboration these days—tapping into creative minds everywhere, regardless of location,” said Sriram Iyer, head of products and partnerships for professional video at Adobe. “The updated Alteon extension for Premiere Pro helps remote teams to work together more easily, offering a connected workflow that Premiere users will appreciate.”

The slew of updates heralds a major leap for Alteon, whose Web3 foundations and strong partnerships with IBM, Vidispine, Teradek and Bluescape have propelled it into a leading cloud-based CMS for thousands of independent content creators and production companies of all sizes.
