We've just released version 2.7, which includes a powerful new feature: non-user upload.
In this new release, Alteon users can request media from people who do not have their own Alteon account, making it easy to collaborate with Alteon users and non-users alike. This will significantly speed up workflows for creatives on Alteon: as soon as the files appear in a project folder, editors or post-production professionals can immediately start working off them. Plus, Alteon begins transcoding a proxy file immediately upon ingest.
**How it Works**
Log into Alteon and select a project. On the top-left sidebar, click the three dots and select "Request Upload". Enter the email address of your collaborator and click "Request". They will then be able to upload files directly to your project from anywhere in the world. It's as simple as that.
